Do you ever look in the mirror noticing how you’ve aged?
You may see bags under your eyes because you’re stressed out and feeling overwhelmed or because the other night, you promised yourself an early night, and even though you were in bed on time, you scrolled through your phone just a little too long.
You might see some lines and wrinkles on your face because you sleep on your face, you’re a natural worrier, you’ve been stressed out for a long time or because you never fully dealt with some trauma from your past.
Regardless of the reasons, at some point we all look in the mirror one day and notice that we’re aging. And then we think back to when we were in our 20’s and how we took our youthfulness for granted back then.
But during that thought, the reflection in the mirror that we’re picking apart does not tell us that in another 20 years, we’ll be doing this again. We’ll be looking at an even older version of ourselves thinking, “Wow, 20 years ago, I didn’t even recognize my own beauty…. if only back then I knew to appreciate myself as I was”.
