Our Natural Deodorant is Here!

As most of you know, this product has taken me a REALLY long time to officially launch.  I’ve been working on this formulation for over a year now, but I wanted it to be perfect before launching it.  I promise you that it was worth the wait.

Here’s a little bit about Devinely Fresh Natural Deodorant:

It’s All-Natural

Most conventional products contain aluminum, a heavy metal that the body stores deep inside the liver and can cause health problems over time.

Devinely Fresh is 100% completely natural and is scented with our Immune Boost essential oil blend:

Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Magnesium Hydroxide (dietary supplement), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)*, Maranta Arundinacea (Arrowroot) Powder*, Kaolin, Beeswax*, Tocopherol (GMO-Free Vitamin E), Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil*, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Oil*, Boswellia Carteri (Frankincense) Oil*, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Oil*, Citrus Limonium (Lemon) Oil*, Citrus Sinensis (Sweet Orange) Oil*

Baking Soda Free

Most natural deodorants contain baking soda as the active ingredient.  However, while baking soda works well to keep odour away, it can be very irritating to the sensitive skin under the arms, causing the skin to become aggravated.

Part of the reason this deodorant took me so long to formulate was because I was trying to figure out I could make this deodorant effective without baking soda in it.

Through my research, I discovered that body odour can often be a sign of a magnesium deficiency.  So, I ordered some magnesium hydroxide, a dietary supplement in powered form.  I played around with this ingredient a lot, in different quantities and mixed with different ingredients, finally ending up with Devinely Fresh’s official formulation, which I think works just as well as baking soda, without the risk of irritation.

But, Before You Use It, It’s Important to Know…

A 3 to 4 week detox period should be expected when switching from conventional deodorant to natural deodorant.

Why? Your underarms are one of the main detoxification areas of your body. When you use conventional deodorant, you prevent your underarms from perspiring. By preventing this important detoxification process, toxins get trapped inside the body. Not only this, but conventional deodorants also contain alumunium, which with continued use, accumulates in your liver. Overtime, this congests the liver and can cause health problems later on in life.

When you stop using conventional deodorant, your underarms will begin to detoxify, releasing a lot of built up toxins. This detoxification process can cause an unpleasant odour. This does not mean that the natural deodorant is not working. This typically occurs during weeks 1-3 after you stop using conventional deodorant. By weeks 4-6, you should be completely detoxed, and the natural deodorant will then keep you fresh. To spead up the detox process, you can apply apple cidar vinegar as a toner to your underarms before applying Devinely Fresh.

While using natural deodorant, you will notice that you will sweat. Natural deodorant does not prevent you from sweating (nor should any product). However, Devinely Fresh will keep your sweat scent-free.

Lastly, it is important to understand that a diet high in fats, proteins and/or certain spices will typically cause more body odour. Eating a diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables will help your liver do its job of detoxificaton a lot more efficiently, naturally reducing your body odour.
